Appleton East boys basketball topples Westosha Central for fifth-straight victory

SALEM – The Appleton East boys basketball team won its fifth-straight game, earning a nonconference win over Westosha Central 74-61 on Saturday at Westosh Central High School.

Joey LaChapell scored 20 points, Jacob Weisbach added 19, and Cade Prestigiacomo and Grayson Kasmarek both finished with 13 points for the Patriots, who are now 8-13 this season after winning for the third day in a row and fifth time in a busy eight-day stretch.

Appleton East returns to Fox Valley Association play Tuesday at Oshkosh West.
