Appleton East boys basketball suffers close loss to Fond du Lac

APPLETON – The Appleton East boys basketball team suffered its fourth loss in a row, falling in a tight one 63-61 to Fond du Lac on Friday night at East High School.

Joey LaChapell hit five 3-pointers and scored a team-high 33 points for the Patriots, who fall to 3-9 overall and 2-7 in the Fox Valley Association. Fond du Lac is now 7-5 and 5-3 in conference play.

Jacob Weisbach added 11 points for East.

Appleton East plays at Kaukauna on Tuesday.
