De Pere shuts out Fox Cities Stars boys hockey

NEENAH – De Pere scored the game’s only goal late in the second period to defeat the Fox Cities Stars 1-0 in a nonconference boys hockey game Friday at the Tri-County Ice Arena.

Max Greenya scored off assists from Gavin Stueber and Jack Welsing at the 9:55 mark of the second period and the Voyageurs held on the rest of the way.

Elliot Reichenbacher had 24 saves in goal for the Stars, while Keegan Handrick saved all 19 shots he saw for De Pere (1-4).

The Stars (2-5) are back in action next Friday, Dec. 15, at home against West Bend.
