2024 WIAA State Baseball Tournament scoreboard & recap

APPLETON – Four state champions were crowned on Thursday as the 76th WIAA State Baseball Tournament concluded at Fox Cities Stadium.

Eleva Strum (23-8) went from a No. 5 seed in its regional to Division 4 state champions as the Cardinals defeated Solon Springs/Northwood 11-1 in the D-4 title game Thursday morning.

La Crosse Aquinas (25-4) held off Kenosha St. Joseph Catholic 6-4 to earn the Division 3 championship. The title is Aquinas’ third in its eighth trip to the state tournament, going along with D-3 titles won in 2008 and 2017.

In the Division 2 final, Madison Edgewood (22-6) rallied from a three-run deficit to defeat Mosinee 12-6. The state title is Edgewood’s third as well as it had previously won D-2 championships in 2004 and 2009.

De Pere (27-3) wrapped up the championship games on Thursday with a 5-1 victory over Sun Prairie East in the Division 1 final, winning its first-ever state baseball title.
